Shitbox Rally - Scott Jackson
Scott from Entourage recently participated in the Shitbox Rally - traveling from Canberra to Townsville, raising funds for cancer research.
On the 2nd to the 10th of May 2025, Scott and his brother (Andrew) embarked on a journey all in the name of raising funds for vital cancer research. The journey saw the boys travel from Tamworth down to Canberra for the start line then make the journey from Canberra up to Townsville via Hay, Silverton, Bourke, Mitchell, Barcaldine, Hugenden, then finally on to Townsville.
Over the course of the past year we raised $5700 towards the end goal of the rally and in total the rally raised $2,386,946 towards vital cancer research through the Cancer Council in Australia.
Highlights for the Team:
- Silverton pub and the Silverton area in general – An amazing place and highly recommend anyone go check out
- The most fun had on the Rally was when the 1970s Morris Nomad bottomed out on a cattle grid and the rear sub frame fell out of the car. Some ratchet straps quickly saw the car back in action. This earned our buddy group best breakdown and spirit of the rally awards. First time in history a buddy group has cleaned up 2 awards on the same rally!
- The Ford Laser (aptly named ‘The Red Nugget’) only suffered a minor breakdown. Blown headlight bulb, and a snapped fan belt, quickly fixed on the side of the road 10KM out of camp in Hughenden
- The memories and friendships made along the way

In one final piece of exciting news, we’ve been accepted into the Autumn 2026 Rally! Our fundraising efforts for vital cancer research are still continuing with minimum fundraising requirements to be $5000 for 2025 into 2026. The route will see us travel from Port Douglas to Melbourne via the Victorian High Country! What an exciting adventure to look forward to!
