Well Done Jono! Push-Up Challenge 2025

Jono completed 3,214 push-ups in 23 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge, raising awareness for mental health.

This June, our own Jono from Entourage took on a massive physical and mental challenge - completing 3,214 push-ups as part of The Push-Up Challenge 2025, a national initiative raising awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention.

The number isn’t random - it represents the 3,214 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2023. Participants across the country committed to completing the push-ups between 4–26 June, with the option to take on the full count or a half version.

Jono’s wife and her colleagues at Toormina Physio started a team, with a fundraising goal of $250 to support mental health services across the country. While most of the team opted to do half, Jono decided to give the full amount a go.

“3,200 push-ups is a lot. A struggle for physically fit people, let alone average citizens. I’ve been doubting that decision the entire way through - but with only 4 days to go, things were looking good.
Overall, I feel better on the daily. I’ve seen real physical changes in the last 3 weeks, which is always nice, but more importantly, the extra movement throughout the day has me up and about more. I’ve noticed a change in my mental awareness and general mood - when I’m not dying from overexertion.
My aim is to continue this in my own way after it’s done. Try and go 30–90 days with 100 a day and see if I can maintain that without group motivation or external assistance.”

A massive congratulations to Jono - not just for hitting the number, but for pushing through with purpose and sharing the journey with us.
