About me
I’m from Scotland, I moved to Australia about 8 years ago after meeting my Aussie husband. We have two boys, and live in Kootingal. I have a background in Hospitality and Education, and after being a Stay-at-home parent for a number of years after my youngest was born, I have made the decision return to the workforce and retrain in a new profession. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing guitar and cooking.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
I would become a master at playing guitar. I’m slowly learning guitar, and it takes a lot of time and dedication to improve, which can be hard to fit in as I have young kids.
How do you prefer to start the day?
With a coffee, either sitting on the deck, or by the fire, in peace and quiet before my kids wake up.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Feel the fear and do it anyway..
What’s your favourite memory from the past year?
When my Mum visited from Scotland. I don’t get to visit with my family often, so it was very special to spend time with my Mum and for my kids to see their Granny. I will always cherish the memories..

About me
I grew up in Coonabarabran but moved to Tamworth in my later years. I started my career wanting to be a baker, but found working in IT meant I didn’t have to wake up as early. I lived in Brisbane until recently where I married my wife. I have a great passion for cloud technologies as well as VoIP & Networking, and have worked in both MSP and Cloud Providers. In my spare time I enjoy working in my Homelab as a Proxmox fanboy, as well as an avid TV enjoyer, but I do enjoy the occasional jam in the gym. I have a new cat which is ensuring I cannot sleep more than 5 hours at a time (but he is cute I guess so it’s fine).
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t be an idiot! Changed my life”

“Tie between ‘The Office’ & ‘Silicon Valley’”
What’s your favourite memory from the past year?
Getting married to my wife!

Norfolk Island, the most relaxed place I have ever been

About me
I’ve always been interested in technology and took software development as a class in high school which I really enjoyed. This led me to pursue a degree in Computer Science majoring in Software Development which I completed in 2024. I enjoy learning the processes behind how everyday technology works and am hoping helpdesk will help me keep learning.
What’s your favourite thing to do on weekends?
I’m split between fishing and motorbike riding

The Office (US)
What’s your top destination on your “must visit” list?
My top destination is Japan which I will be visiting later this year!

Rhythm Digital's Digital Designer - Amy Lomax - has recently transitioned into a contractor role as she pursues some of her own creative endeavours.
