In 2025, Martins equipped eight Prime Mover Trucks at their new Quilpie, QLD depot with Starlink connectivity—ensuring drivers stay online in remote areas via in-cab iFace tablets and WiFi calling, despite limited mobile reception.
Martins Stock Haulage is based in Scone, NSW with depots in Scone, Dubbo, Oakey and Quilpie. They operate primarily across NSW and Queensland, with a reputation as one of the largest and premium livestock carriers in rural and remote Australia. Martins have around 105 vehicles with Navman tracking equipment and cameras and regularly travel outside of mobile telecoms networks to pickup and deliver stock.
In 2025, Martins has acquired a new business in Quilpie, QLD with 8 Prime Mover Trucks. Frequently, once these vehicles left the depot at Quilpie they would have no mobile reception for days at a time. Martins asked Entourage and Haddtrack to install Starlink on these 8 Trucks. Navman trackers and cameras do not support connections to Starlink WiFi but the iFace in-cab tablets do support a Wifi connection enabling these vehicles to be always online. The Driver phones can also be connected to the Starlink WiFi enabling WiFi Calling. The iFace in-cab tablet has many Driver applications installed including Navigation for Truck routes, Speed Assist, Vehicle Tracking, Vehicle Inspections and Electronic Work Diary.
Entourage acquired the Starlink devices and Chris Ash spread them out in his backyard to provision them with 80GB per month on each and the configurations requested by Martins. All 8 Starlinks have been installed and working well enabling Entourage and Haddtrack to pioneer this technology with a friendly customer ahead of other customers who have been enquiring about Starlink on their trucks, particularly in Western Australia.
